It’s funny you say this actually. You say let the people decide, you’ve said it a few times in this thread, do you truly believe that? If you did, Trump should have never been president, and with the direction of the country, I don’t think a Republican will win the popular vote for a long time.

The majority of the people want abortion and a women’s right to choose, yet the Republican Party is against this, let the people decide?

The majority of people want a lot more gun control and the majority believe guns are the main cause of all the shootings, yet the Republican Party is against it or believe otherwise, let the people decide?

Or is it the type of let the people decide and let democracy prevail, when it only fits that person’s narrative at the time?

Or as you said before, do you think people are incapable of deciding for themselves, and need someone to decide for them? Because this seems like the direction the Republican Party is going with.

I mean the Democratic Party is the majority, while the Republican Party is the minority, wouldn’t that by default, make the Republican Party against the will of the people?

We don’t have a democracy with simple majority rule, and for good reason in my humble opinion. When I said let democracy prevail, I mean the democratic element of choice by the people. This isn’t old Europe where some elite nobles decide our leadership in a Small Council.

The judge never did any type of interpretation of the Constitution. It’s written rather clearly on what it says, the judge decided if Trump did enough to violate the 14th amendment section 3, which they said he did.
He can appeal it.
Now if the judge didn’t stay the order, I’d 100% agree with you.

Regardless, I think this is a mockery of the 14th amendment and that a judge shouldn’t decide if an individual is guilt of insurrection without due process. Call me crazy. We’ll see what SCOTUS has to say.

I'm amazed that you think that because no President has ever commuted bold face crimes and treason against a Constitution he swore to uphold and protect like a Trump has, that he shouldn't be tried or found to be ineligible for high office as defined by the Constitution.

He hasn't been charged with or convicted of insurrection.

It's because there's no case there.

If you so strongly believe he committed treason and participated in an "armed" insurrection like you claim... arrest him and charge him as such.

It's not up to a group of partisan, bureaucrat judges to claim something he hasn't even been charged with.

SPOILER: I would feel the exact same way if Florida suddenly decided that Biden wasn't fit for office because of his age or because he is a pedophile or because he has enriched his family with bribes. He hasn't been charged with those crimes yet or found guilty of those crimes.
