The real issue comes down to the foreign aid. Most conservatives are tired of spending abroad when we have so many issues at home and are tired of printing money we don’t have. No matter who is selected this is exactly what is going to be pressed for their votes. Jordan and Gaetz are very conservative which is going to make it harder to get them elected, typically it’s someone more in the middle that can pull the whole party together, but the aid(laundering) to Ukraine and Israel is what will be put on the table to get those last few votes.
This is also why McCarthy was ousted. He worked with the dems against the majority of his party to send more aid to Ukraine after he told people he would reel it in when he was named speaker.

The issue is McCarthy only worked with the Democrats because his party couldn’t do shit on their own with majority.
As I see it, the Democrats work together towards a common goal they all share. The Republicans work for their own personal agendas, and don’t give two shits about anyone else, even their own party.

OUR Representatives are supposed to work towards the goals of their CONSTIUENTS... not the Party.
The fact the majority of Americans will cut off their own foot, rather than be pragmatic and reasonable when it comes to the governance of the country... and only side with their "side" out of spite for the other... is exactly why we're in this shitshow.
Again - over the past 20 years or so... and especially the last 10... the only Party calling for segregation, censorship, changing US laws and the Constitution is... the Democratic Party.
We have people all across the US actually supporting Hamas - huge rallies of them disregarding the fact that a terrorist attack occurred... If Israel were the size of the US - Had it occurred in the US, it would equate to approximately 30,000 people dead in one day.

I don’t think it’s extreme to advocate for congress to have term limits or to get our massive inflationary post-Covid deficit under control.
That being said, there is some truth in your statement. Democrats unify when they absolutely need to. Republicans can’t. It’s a fair criticism and an annoyance.
