Look at ChatGPT. The scientists that are responsible for creating AI are already saying that they could, potentially, down the road regret their decision to develop that technology.
It is the same as Oppenheimer who developed and helped to create (oversee) the management of the first A-bomb, and then later campaigned against the creation of a hydrogen bomb.
Anyway, AI, is the biggest threat to humanity, in my opinion, if we are considering long-term situations, as in 100 years from now. There is a law that says technological power doubles every 7 years, which is interesting, and a lot of this technological development in AI is going on behind the scenes, as expected (view Terminator 2), and we are not really aware of it. But seriously, test out ChatGPT or bing.com/new and you will immediately, or within a few minutes, fail the turing test and realize that robots and computers and also AI are much, much smarter than we are. I was sceptical at first.
Anyway, yeah, very sad affair in Israel. But machines are the true rulers, or will be within the next 100 years (is what I predict).
Scientists have already stated that they recommend, in the future, a ban on robots for military application. Meaning, no robots in war. It would be unfair and they would annihilate us. Food for thought.
