You are also making my point…McCarthy was a RINO and a moderate. Personal feelings aside, he was practically the most willing Republican Speaker willing to wheel & deal with House Democrats. By Dems aligning with 8 House Republicans to oust him, they are likely to get a new Speaker that is far less inclined to work with them on anything moving forward. A selfish part of me that enjoys poetic justice does look forward to the bitching festival that will ensue as a result of Dems not thinking about the consequence of their actions.
