2) Must have been born in the United States

The requirement is actually to be a "natural born Citizen." Being born in the United States is just one way to be a natural born Citizen. Certain People from Florida, as you have no doubt heard, want to eliminate that pathway to natural born Citizenship.

There is another requirement to be President elsewhere in the Constitution. You must not have been convicted by the Senate following impeachment by the House. Trump passes that requirement, since he escaped conviction both times he was impeached.

Trump, who again claimed he hadn't heard the audio recording, repeatedly said he was not showing off classified documents.

"I would say it's bravado," he said about his conversation in the recording. "If you want to know the truth, it was bravado. I was talking and just holding up papers and talking about, but I have no documents. I didn't have any documents."

I believe Trump when he says it was bravado. I really believe him. I think he and the unnamed female assistant heard on the recording had planned in advance for him to hold up some paper and tell the reporter that it was a secret document that proved all of the previously unsubstantiated allegations he had made about General Milley, but unfortunately he could not let the reporters see the proof since it was still classified. I really, truty believe that is what happened. It would be entirely consistent with Trump's history of brazenly lying to -- or you might say outsmarting -- the press.

It's going to be too bad in his upcoming trial. The prosecution will play the tape for the jury. The only way for Trump to show that he was lying to reporters on the recording will be to testify to that fact or to have the unnamed assistant testify that it was a plan to deceive the reporters. I'm not sure what would be worse for Trump -- to admit lying to the reporters or to let the jury hear the tape unchallenged.

Also, do you believe Trump when he says he has not listened to the recording?
