I did the same thing at 14, and there was nothing even remotely resembling "extreme" about anything going on, nobody in my family was hurting for money at all, etc. Same thing with any of my friends who got summer jobs. Their parents were all pretty well off and none of us "had" to get jobs for any reason.
Unless you count things like wanting to buy Street Fighter 2 on SNES or having arcade money to go play Mortal Kombat II at the mall with and shit like that as extreme, despite the fact that my mom would have bought it for me anyway and had no shortage of quarters to give me either.
The only extreme happening here is about how wrong you are.
Know what we did in the winter? We grabbed our shovels and knocked on doors so we could make money shoveling snow out of peoples' driveways. And we started doing this way before we were 14.
There was this one time we were doing that where one of our cooler neighbors gave us each like $30 for a driveway that took all 3 of us maybe an hour or so, which was obviously way more than the job was worth, because they were just cool like that. And since we thought we were high rollers now, we walked a couple miles down the road to the Chinese restaurant and dined like pimps after, and had plenty leftover.
Then the next day we did it all over again. But without cool neighbor, because their driveway was already shoveled and it hadn't snowed again yet.
TLDR: You're wrong.

“When all government ...in little as in great things... shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power; it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated.” -Thomas Jefferson
Cool quote, though it couldn't be any less accurate. Today we see a fully divided government, both chambers of Congress controlled by different parties, a moderate President checking the morons in the majority within the House and a Supreme Court overseeing it all while navigating the corruption of one senior member. Checks and balances are never more on display than with each of the branches of government hating one another.
None of your butthurt nonsense crying changes the fact that the federal government is steadily growing and things are becoming more and more centralized.
This is also something you support, probably because you think it will make your welfare checks bigger or something because you're too dumb and lazy to get a job.
Every time "they" tell you it's to crazy to happen.... just keep this as a reminder.
