When it comes to this gender and pronoun nonsense, my simple take on it is people can identify & believe whatever they want to about themselves. I have a problem with compelled speech and forcing that self-perception upon everyone else. It goes both ways too… I’m a biological male and my preferred pronouns are he/him/his. If someone is adamant about addressing me as a woman with she/her/hers, even if that upset me I would never ask the government to make laws to force that person to address me with male pronouns. The Bill of Rights matters.
It's not compelled speech though, it's protecting the right of an individual to perceive themselves as someone they're biologically and recognizing that intentionally mislabeling someone after being corrected is harassment.
