If we look at career criminals, they seem to be able to acquire guns without much trouble.

My point however was that if there was an assault weapon ban, that doesn’t deter the crazies that intend to indiscriminately murder people. We already had one, and during that time mass shootings still happened about as frequently as they did preban. The overwhelming majority of gun deaths occur with pistols. If hypothetically you ban certain guns, those sick people will either obtain those guns illegally or just use a gun that you didn’t ban & can use that with great effect to harm others. If hypothetically you banned all guns (ignoring for a moment the legal challenges to that), those sick people with murderous intent will find other means like a bomb, illegal gun, knife (yes mass stabbings are a real problem), whatever. The problem with sick people choosing violence is the sick people. Thinking that an assault weapon ban or whatever measure you think to prevent a criminal from obtaining a weapon is a real solution to solving mass shootings makes about as much sense as gun free zones in school (none). Why? Because a gun free zone sign or an assault weapon ban doesn’t deter some sick fuck to act on their murderous intent.
Alright, that's fair you don't know the answer to my question. I doubt either of these people in the recent couple of shootings would have had nearly a high of a kill count if they hadn't been wielding firearms.

Glad you're not going to pass out, you've finally realized I usually ignore pointless insults, gross mischaracterizations of my arguments and two of your group.

What specifically would you propose to legislate that you can absolutely guarantee would have been effective in preventing the last couple of murdering bastards from wielding a firearm?

Since it wasn't a "gross mischaracterization of your argument".. then you believe me asking you if you wanted to ban all firearms is an insult?

That's not an insult, you fucking retarded, mouth breathing, waste of human debris.

Also, that wasn't an insult either.. that was a statement of fact.

I knew you painted yourself into a corner.. and knew you didn't have the balls to say what you really mean.

    You nutless loser.

So let's see where you've set the goalposts:
100% effective, with a guarantee to make sure murderers can't kill anyone.
That's a pretty high bar you set in order to see any type of reform to end the obscene amounts of gun violence in our country. But, adding mandatory background checks, firearm registration beginning with the manufacturer reporting distribution numbers and tracking to sale, this paired with red flag laws will prevent purchase or allow confiscation with a court order if someone is a harm to themselves or others. Tack on harsh penalties for illegal gun sales between private parties to cut down on black market distribution. With all that, you've got a much higher chance of success than the current orgies of gun violence in our country.

California has all your wish list and then some..

    Universal background checks
    Strong eligibility standards for firearms
    Extreme risk protection orders
    Domestic violence gun laws
    Firearm relinquishment requirements
    Assault weapon and magazine restrictions
    Waiting periods
    Minimum age laws
    Red flag laws
Gun Industry Liability and Responsibility Laws
    Safe storage laws
    Community violence intervention funding
    Ghost gun reforms
    Gun dealer regulation
    Local authority to regulate firearms
    State firearm sale records retention
    Gun violence research funding
    Ammunition regulation
    Assault weapon restrictions

How do you explain the gun violence in California.. since most of these laws have been on the books for years?

Wrong. None of those things would have prevented the most recent mass shooting incidents. If you got your wish on all those violations to our Bill of Rights, when the next one happens it would be something like “well we tried all those things and they didn’t work, so now we need all the guns.”

Thanks for playing the game. You are dismissed and may return to your regularly retarded programming.
