The Tennessee Governor is about to sign into law a bill that says you can't do adult cabaret shows on public property where kids are present.

I quoted the law in the first post. Its application is not restricted to public property. It applies to public or private property, including inside a private residence. It applies to any "location other than an adult cabaret" where the performance could be viewed by children.

Don't you find it problematic that under the Tennessee law a man who wears traditional male clothing and "provide[s] entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest" -- whatever that means -- in "a location other than an adult cabaret" does not commit a crime, but if a woman wears the same exact clothing and tells the same exact jokes and otherwise provides the same exact entertainment at the same location, then the woman is guilty of a crime? In what version of the Constitution does the First Amendment allow punishing some people for the same speech that is OK for other people?

To summarize the law, if you tell dirty jokes in front of children while wearing clothing typically worn by the opposite sex, the that's a crime. But if you're wearing clothing typical for your sex, then Tennessee does not have a problem with telling dirty jokes in front of children.
