I'm specifically speaking about the Democrats stripping out of the 2020 stimulus bill, the 3 billion for buying oil at $24 a barrel to replenish the SPR... and their reasoning was it was an "oil bailout"... but now, they are all behind the purchasing of oil to fill up the same SPR... only at $80 a barrel... because paying over 3 times as much for the same thing is sound fiscal policy only the Democrats could come up with.
The price of oil oil at the time of Trump trying to define covid-19 stimulus was irrelevant, it wasn't acceptable to deny funds to individuals, period. But you seem to think lawmakers two years ago has some sort of supernatural or psychic ability to know the price of oil today? Really?

You're apparently all about the SPR being used as budget offsets, but are against it being used to replace oil missing from the international market as a result of a market impacting crisis. Uh huh, you may want to look up what the SPR was created for, because you've got it backwards.

Russian invaded Ukraine, oil went up, then Biden took action internationally to coordinate stockpile releases to calm markets, oil then went down. Basic cause and effect.

So since oil prices went up because "US oil producers fail to produce", does this mean oil prices are going down because "US oil produces successfully produce"? Or does Biden get the credit for oil prices dropping but still being higher than when he took office?

Didn't take some supernatural or psychic ability to know that the price at $25 a barrel was historically low and would eventually go up. It just took a basic understanding of the most basic economic principles and the smallest bit of common sense.

You're right.. there was no way the Democrats could have known. They didn't have the necessary skill set.

Oil was well on it's way up prior to any Russian invasion due to clueless and feckless policy by the Biden Administration.

Also, SPOILER: the SPR wasn't created to manipulate the market price of oil.

The SPR was created to replace oil missing from the market as a result of crisis, yes. When oil dissapears, prices go up, when oil reappears as a result of SPR releases, the price goes down. 'Manipulation' is your way saying sound energy policy I see.

A policy generated "crisis" is not a war or other survival situation and is not what the SPR was created to protect against you moron.

Creating bad policy isn't a "crisis", it's just a bad President making bad policy.

There is nothing sound about Biden's energy policy.

    At all.

Only a fucking retard would believe they have been good on Energy.

Oh hey Seran... I'm shocked, really.
