Uh duh, a special master doesn't get to decide whether a privilege available only to the President and Vice President is superseded by an orange man who stole troves of intelligence and apparently nuclear secrets.

Guess that means Trump's hand chosen Florida judge wants a special master to protect Trump's reputation as a classified information broker!
Look at the headline on Drudge: DON HAD NUKE DOCS! and they link as "proof" was an article from Business Insider saying "A Fox News Host Wonders aloud"...

    You are so easily manipulated.

I don't get the left's outrage here. There is now an unbiased individual in charge of the "evidence" gathered by the FBI and he/she is to determine if it meets the Warrant's criteria.

So what? If Trump has ZOMGTEHNUCLEARSTUFF and it's stuff he shouldn't have, then nothing changes. Charge him with a crime and let's get to the trial.

According to the article, the nuclear secrets pertained to another country. I'm guessing the undisclosed nation was either Israel or North Korea.

You could sell the info on Israel for a lot, which Trump would never do, or exchange it for something very valuable, which he would totally do.

North Korea's nuclear secrets would be something interesting to talk about if you wanted to impress people.

Which also implicates the intelligence services used to obtain that information and frankly whether it's a friendly or unfriendly nuclear power, the fact top level security information was stored in a cardboard box after being nicked is an unprecedented security risk.

Really interested to see how the investigation moves forward in any security footage, guest logs and finger prints obtained from the boxes and folders.

    That's exactly why they're outraged.

Agreed. I don't see anything wrong with giving a former President slightly better treatment -- and slightly more benefit of the doubt -- in the courts than the average person receives. Besides, in addition to reviewing claims of attorney privilege, which the average person would not be able to have a special master appointed to do, the special master will also review claims of executive privilege. That's not an issue for the average person. In fact, there are only six living people in the United States who could possibly have a claim of executive privilege. Hopefully, none of the other five will do something this dumb.

A special master will slow things down. So what? If someone is to be charged with a crime, then the accused should be given every opportunity to defend against the accusation. Slowing things down may not work in Trump's favor in the long run.

Whether he is charged or not, we will end up at the same place. If Trump is convicted, Biden will pardon him.

But Trump says he declassified it. To be clear, he says that he declassified a report about another country's nuclear secrets. Does anybody here believe him? Since it is declassified, where can I get my copy?

So much for the Support Blue beliefs of the Republican parties. I think for once organized crime and the GOP are on the same page regarding overthrowing law enforcement.
