So.. when all said and done.. the IRS is going to have more employees than the entire DOJ.. when taxes are automated and handled by computers for the most part.
Seems logical right? I'm sure nothing at all will go wrong with this.
That isn't an accurate count of the IRS. The 80,000 new agents is over the course of 10 years and accounts for 50,000 retirements over those 10 years. They are increasing in size, but only by about 30k.
