The Marine Corps completely dropped tanks, more to fit an amphibious style of warfare, but also because they really are becoming less viable.
The vehicle ClydeR was posting is not a tank, but rather an IFV which is meant to carry infantry into battle and then provide supporting fires.

The issue with Russian reactive armor is that it doesn't have the explosive in it so it isn't reactive. They don't have the slat armor that we use on stuff in Iraq so yeah, they are in for it.
