Senate: 100-0 voted in favor of this bill.

In your head... do the 492 Congresspeople who voted for the bill bear zero responsibility for the bill becoming law and only Marco Rubio is responsible?

Trying to figure out why you would only bring up Marco Rubio. Is it because he was one of 4 authors of the Bill... 2 Democrats and 2 Republicans?
More Republicans were against it than Democrats?

    Hmmm......

    Damn Republicans.

Not really. You do realize that the net wage to an employee is not the only business expense for business owners.. right? If you close down businesses and they have no income.. how would you like them to keep their business open by only paying for the net wage to the employees?

That and they have to deal with retards like you on a daily basis, that alone is worth a 250k salary.

Because Marco Rubio was the initial author of the program and it was Republican feet dragging that required not only the PPP in the first place, but put its total price tag at 800 billion. Money that would more appropriately have gone back into the economy by paying workers and not their stay at home owners.

Once again, the article points out it was a disturbingly inefficient way of supporting the economy. That to get Republican votes required to pass the main parts of the Covid-19 Relief Bill required a bloated business payout is embarrassing for our country.

The funniest part of PPP, the "Infrastructure Bill", the "Build Back Better", the "Voting Rights Bill"....

Is people still think the bills are their title.... people never stop to read what is actually in it.... politicians never get asked about what is in it.... and they just yell and scream the name over and over in the news, till the dumbass public actually thinks the bill is represented by the Title.... then everyone fights about it in the public.... while the politicians laugh their fucking asses off.

Oh - and if you're someone that tries to point out the insanity... the ideologues go batshit crazy, dox you, and twitter bomb hate you while the Tech companies censor people for "misinformation"....

And people wonder why shit is so fucked up.... General populous stupidity and Pavlovian responses to ideological terms, which stops any sort of critical thinking from occurring.

And yet all the Democrats voted for it... read my above statement... maybe you'll figure it out eventually. Stop being a dipshit ideologue.

Because net wages are usually the biggest expense of the company and the one that has the big fest economic impact as a whole. Again, rather than sending billions of dollars to the owner Tammy's Underwater Basket Weavers and Billy Joe's Voted Suppression League to keep their employees, the employees themselves could have been supported if the businesses failed.

Our country needs to stop these big business bailouts. The United States doesn't owe an obligation to make sure businesses always turn a profit when things get tough. It does owe a duty to provide a safety net to make sure no one is homeless, hungry or without medical care.

So in your world, if we're making sure 5 people making 25k a year at the coffee shop working full time are paid, we have the same duty to pay the manager ten times as much for flipping on and off the lights? How Republican of you.

Because of the provisions helping everyday Americans, Democrats largely voted for it. Despite the bloated spending required to get the last of the Republican votes needed to pass.

I love how naive you are. Republicans gave just enough support for the bill to pass, but then campaigned against it after the fact as bloating the national debt. Nevermind how desperately their states needed the money or their constituents survived off of the stimulus or extended unemployment. I'm convinced you and the Republicans take your cues from Marie Antoinette.
