The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane. ~ Marcus Aurelius“It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words.”

I've lived in California and Hawaii. They are both shitty places to live.

Does anyone actually oppose term limits for congressfolks? Aside from already-elected members of congress and oligarchs, I mean.
Heck no... Term limits, stock-trade limitations, etc. should be applied.
One additional thing I think would really help... Congress is in physical session 3 months per year (no more than 4), in order to actually put the final details on legislation and vote the submitted laws... unless a National Emergency occurs. With current technology that should be more than reasonable. Congress people should have to live the majority of their time in their district with their constituents IMO.
Congress - the arm designed to create laws - doesn't need to be creating laws all day, everyday, 365 days a year while living in DC. Details would have to be worked out, but ya.

I've always felt it should be ten years for Rep, 10 years for Senate. Gives someone the possibility of 20 years in Congress, add in the max of a possible 10 years as President you could be in higher Government for 30 years. I think that is long enough.

I'd be fine with something like that... if... there was a 3 year minimum between running for a new position. Maybe 2? Though I like 3 personally.
Remove them just enough, so that their influence or current situation when they leave is completed before they transfer over.
3 years between + 28 years service is 37 (8 for President - god let's not give them 10 /shiver) years total... so plenty for someone serving to (typically) not be over 75 if they start around 30.

I'd even settle for it not applying to the people who voted for the bill until they leave or are voted out of office if it would get more of them to actually vote for it.
Those retards might still end up staying in office for decades, but they'd be the last ones to do so, and most of them are already old as fuck anyway.
