I would assume being detained by police up to the time limit that they must bring you before a judge for arraignment with formal charges or being released from their custody. In some states that time limit is 48 hours and in others it’s 72.

MSNBC's Tiffany Cross urges liberals to 'pick up a weapon and get involved' in 'war' for democracy
    Totes OK, though.

Clearly she meant this figuratively, as in she will be prepared to push back against a mandatory mask mandate. Just like when someone says they are "locked and loaded" they don't typically mean they have a gun and are ready to fire, the idiom just means they are ready.

But yet this mother has been slandered as a terrorist and that she supposedly threatened to shoot up a school, which she did not.

I'm sure at the very least she can count on Bhaalizmo's support because after all he thinks only people who are cavernous vaginas would think this was an actual threat.
Naw dude, threatening to bring a loaded gun to enforce your belief your children shouldn't have too wear a mask implies you feel you need it to get your way. Could you imagine a society where bringing a weapon with the implication of willingness to use force to get your way was acceptable?

Even if the woman has a concealed and carry permit, or her state is open carry, to associate the armament with getting her way is just batshit crazy.

    It's so threatening!

Is it more or less threatening than telling someone to "die soon"?

Is it more or less threatening than telling people we are in a "war" and that they need to "pick up a weapon and get involved" in said war?

Your example had no correlation to what the woman was threatening, nor is implying her civil disobedience is at all equivalent to being at war.

I don’t know if you have been to these school board meetings or watched one online, but a significant quantity of the speakers are batshit crazy. That goes for both sides of the political spectrum. They give them a few minutes to vent their grievances or whatever they are there to say. In this instance I don’t interpret what she said as a threat of violence. Batshit crazy…maybe…but what she said wasn’t a crime in and of itself.

Oh gee, another hypocrite far leftist whose opinions change depending on the political affiliation of the parties involved.

In a matter of just a few days I have gotten you all to go from "Telling someone to 'die soon' isn't a death threat! Stop being such a pussy!" to "ZOMG! She is a terrorist even though she didn't specifically threaten anyone or even threaten violence! But she mentioned guns! Death threat! DEATH THREAT!!!"

You guys have taken all of the fun out of this. You are just too dumb and too predictable these days. I need a challenge.

Doesn't make it right and it's the officer and DAs call as to whether or not it was considered a threat against a public official or not. Every state is completely different as to what does or doesn't get considered a threat.

Again I repeat, saying you're going to bring a loaded weapon to enforce your beliefs implies you're willing to use it if defied. Which is illegal.

Someone is breaking down my front door. I bring a gun to enforce my belief that my life may be in danger and I am willing to use it if that belief is defied.

    That is not illegal.

Just because you repeat something doesn't make it correct.

    Especially someone like you.
