Remember those articles I posted awhile back about that bullshit electronic "drunk driving" monitoring chip - and they snuck into the last "infrastructure bill" requiring all cars to have it installed by 2027?

This is what they're leading everyone towards... full tracking/control/fines of movement by citizens.
Are you trying to defend their right to break the law and that they have this system in place because the old paper logs were wildly abused?
No, I am not Drauz in game.

You really can't think long term can you...

Maybe you'll figure it out when the Government decides you can only drive 200 miles a day (or whatever arbitrary number they come up with)... and fines you if you go over.

Sounds like the time tracker is doing exactly what it is supposed to do, stop truckers from breaking the law and driving when they aren't legally allowed to.

If they are stranded 30 minutes from home they have shit poor planning. Also, you're allowed to turn it off for home conveyance, so long as you aren't performing in a commercial capacity.

Again.. missing the point. I'm talking about what's coming with every person having their vehicle tracked by the upcoming device/software in a few years.

You realize Hours of Service has been around for decades right? It only concerns commercial driving.

You realize they just snuck into the "infrastructure bill" that all cars manufactured after 2026 must have a chip that monitors your driving installed right? They just sold it under the auspice of "drunk driving".

If you think that won't lead to what these truckers are experiencing, or worse on individual freedom of movement... not sure what to tell you.

Nope, I think you're overreacting. Also, just have it removed if you're so worried.

Yeah it will suck having to follow the law while driving, no more speeding =(.
