It's basketball so it doesn't really matter. Doesn't really change that he's a professional athlete and isn't downing bottles of wine every night. Alcohol wrecks your stamina, most these guys aren't drinking during the season.

I just found it funny that a guy in one statement - 1. Advocated for consumption of an unproven medical health advantage 2. admitted to serving alcohol to a minor and 3. admitted to alcoholism (drinking everyday) and everyone just let's it go and doesn't find the irony in it when compared to other statements/practices that people advocate for themselves - and how they are treated negatively.

Other than weed and performance enhancers, I don't think professional sports has the substance abuse problems it had 20+ years ago. Sports has changed a great deal since the days of smoking cigs, drinking beer and doing cocaine on the sideline.
