Thread: Biden wants a federal law to forbid private companies from replacing union workers

Default Biden wants a federal law to forbid private companies from replacing union workers

Seriously what is up with Democrats meddling in the inner dealings of a private business? Obama loved to do this shit and now Biden apparently wants to make it against the law for a private business to replace their striking union workers.

President Joe Biden weighs in on Kellogg's decision to replace striking workers

"I have long opposed permanent striker replacements and I strongly support legislation that would ban that practice," Biden said.
tl;dr: Kellogg's has been dealing with striking workers for months now (I'm pretty sure it's the same union that chose Hostess to go out of business and lay off ALL of their workers than to compromise even a little bit to save everyone's jobs) and it has gotten to the point where Kellogg's is like okay fuck it! We're just gonna hire permanent replacement for all of our workers.

Well that didn't sit well with Biden! No no! It should be against the law for a company to replace their striking workers!

So how would that even work? The only real threat a company has is they can replace their entire workforce if need be, if that's off the table what would stop a union from demanding 50 bucks an hour for every employee? Eventually the company would have to agree, they can't keep relying on temps (who the union workers would literally physically threaten and assault every time they show up to work) and management to do the jobs forever.

Keep in mind part of the problem with products being stuck at the ports for weeks and months is because the unions at those ports have forbidden a lot of automation that most of the rest of the world automated many years ago and they also forbid the ports from operating 24 hours a day, again something most of the rest of the world does. Unions continue to fuck with the economy for their own selfish gain and the Democrats are all too happy to help them do it.

And the left wonders why manufacturers are moving facilities to right to work states.

My favorite ones are companies like Amazon, Starbucks, etc... espousing leftist ideals and talking points.. but when it comes to unionizing.. they quickly stomp that shit out.

    Fuck scabs. Fuck Kellogg's.

Not really. What he supports are the unions themselves that donate very large sums of money to his party. He cares as little about the workers themselves as most other politicians.

And then you have folks dying in a Kentucky candle factory because their managers threatened them with being fired if they didn't stay. Employers abuses like that are exactly why unions and collective bargaining is imperitive.

Right because shit like that doesn't happen with union labor.

You think being in a labor makes one invulnerable or something? I used to be in a union and I heard all kinds of horror stories about how management treated them.

Fuck off and stop Seraning up every single thread.

Unions protect people, employers usually exploit.

The managers and employers are still the boss. You think being in a union means the union members can just do whatever the fuck they want? That only works for government unions like teachers.

Are you really using the exceptionally low statistical likelihood of being injured in a tornado to worker abuse? The odds of dying in a tornado, at least according some statisticians, is 1 in 5,693,092, they go on to list 10 things that are more likely to kill you than a tornado and guess what was on the list, COWS, that's right, you are more likely to die from a cow than a tornado, so shut the fuck up about worker abuse, accept that living and working involves risk and go back inside whatever basement you crawled out of.
