Pretty sure the event required the city's permission in order to happen in the first place.
Just a wild guess.
"Hey Chicago, can we have Lollapalooza here with like 400k people packed in together like sardines during what my TV says is the worst plague in the history of the universe?"
"Uhhhh...."
"We'll tell them to wear masks and also tell them, 'Papers please!'"
"Ok great! APPROVED!!!!!"

Oh right, negative tests up to three days prior, it's fool proof!
Methais also mentioned something I didn't even think of: who is to say people actually kept their masks on once inside? They put their masks on for the guard, go into the crowd, then remove their mask and everyone will just think they are vaccinated.
Okay so let's look at all of the possible failures here:
1) We know a vaccinated person can both become infected and infect others
2) Masks are nearly useless when there are this many people standing shoulder to shoulder and singing and shouting
3) A person can receive a false negative test result
4) A person can easily test negative then become infected and infect others
5) Someone can easily remove their mask and blend in with the vaccinated and unmasked crowd
6) There could have been idiots screening people and not doing their job properly, there were over 400k people attending after all, it's pretty much a sure bet that at least some people got in without being properly screened
Even with all of these very real facts you still choose to claim it was safe to hold this 400k+ people event but other events need to be canceled.
And you wonder why Republicans have been calling Democrats' reaction to the virus political.
You're probably the type of person who actually followed those arrows on the ground at stores which said "Shop this way only!" and thought to yourself "Wow I'm such a good person! Look at me saving lives!"
Except that I never said that, in fact I said both events were stupid to hold. This is why people call you a liar, because you lie.
My grocery store didn't do that but I'll bet you went the other way down your store's aisles and thought "I'm such a patriot! Don't tread on me!".
No, I am not Drauz in game.
