I think about it, and the world really did get lucky that Trump was in office. Can you imagine a normal politician in the Presidency when the virus struck?
All the "experts" and talking heads on TV were saying it would take 3, 5, 7 years to come up with a vaccine. Could you imagine us all having to live under their insane rule while covid did it's thing. It would have been a fucking nightmare.
Love him or hate him, we're lucky he was the one telling government to get the fuck out of the way to speed up the research.
I still hate the idea of vaccinating kids (data doesn't support doing it), but vaccinating anyone 18+ (if they want to) and especially 50+ (they should) has been a final gift that he afforded the world.
