What country did the virus come from?

This should be a simple question that even you can answer it without having a meltdown.

Why did Trump selectively call it "the China Virus" when that isn't how we classify or name diseases? The country the virus originated has no impact on whether or not Dreaven is, hypocritically, engaging in identity politics while criticizing the use of identity politics -- with no self-awareness -- in literally the next sentence.

That should be simple enough that even you can understand it without having a meltdown.

    Ebola.
    MERS.
    West Nile Virus.
    Hendra Virus.
    Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
    Lyme Disease.1

Covid was originally called the Wuhan Virus. That practice was halted in 2015 because the World Health Organization was afraid it was hurting people's fee fees.

All virus named for the geographical area they came from.

Um, no. "COVID" refers to Coronavirus disease, and the first of those was discovered 100 years ago, in North America. Similarly, the right-wing use of the term "China virus" specifically, was a smokescreen to both whip up racism, and deflect blame away from Trump's mismanagement in failing to deal with the pandemic. In other words, identity politics, that Dreaven was claiming Democrats engage in, without a shred of irony, shame or self-awareness.

COVID-19, the "Wuhan" virus, was discovered in 2019 -- hence the name -- and given the name "2019 novel coronavirus," or "2019-nCoV." The end of the practice of naming conventions using locations happened specifically because of the type of identity politics Dreaven engaged in, while decrying.

That isn't remotely true. Is Measles a place? Is Human Immunodeficiency Virus a place? Is Polio a place? Is Influenza a place? (Repeat ad infinitum).

You're an imbecile, Tardbandit. Another Retard Champion worthy post from you. Bravo.

I'm asking for the geographical answer, not the butthurt SJW feelings answer.

Guess the hopes for you were too high, since you proved unable to substantively respond, conceding for the trillionth time. Since you don't know how to argue. Oh, right -- you're much too busy to come up with a position you can defend, despite your repeated replies.

I realize you are trying to tie "country of origin" and President Trump's use of "China Virus"... and your next fantastic seman-tic game is going to be "Those aren't countries".

This strain was originally called "Wuhan Virus", the geographical area that it originated in. Like the geographical area the others I posted came from. That is how we used to describe viruses like this, from the area of origin. It wasn't until mental midgets like yourself felt that it hurt people's fee fees that we needed to change.

But that didn't stop everyone, including the New York Times, from calling this the Wuhan Virus.

Re-read what I posted. I didn't say "All virus are named". I was referring to the list I posted that came from the geographical area they originated.

No one is surprised you are confused.

NOU game... the fallback position of a brainless twat.

    Grats.

Hey, I bumped your special thread... let's go there and discuss your stupidity. I told Methais I can get you to 500 posts in a thread I specifically made for you to cry in.. I'm going to easily surpass that this month.

Wouldn’t calling it the Yangtze virus be more geographically sound, than naming it after a city?

    1) What people were colloquially calling the virus doesn't mean anything. The first official name it was given was 2019 novel coronavirus," or "2019-nCoV."
    2) People weren't calling it the "China" virus, the term used by Dreaven.
    3) You were unable to substantively address the issue of why the practice of referring to viruses changed.
    2) There's a reason you've been forced to focus on the notion of the Wuhan virus, rather than the China/Chinese virus, that Trump kept using, and that Dreaven used. Identity politics. You can't talk about it, because you don't have an argument, and are making a separate, completely unrelated argument, due to your substantive inability to address the subject of Dreaven's hypocrisy in decrying identity politics while engaging in it.

Ah, so your fallback position here relies on your comically poor sentence composition. Gotcha. Well, we'll have to give you an Alzheimer's pass for this one.

Except that wasn't a NOU, but it's good to know that you think Methais is a brainless twat, though, as his posts consist of about 80% of them. I'll be sure to reference that.

Oh, we'll be posting in that thread, wasting your dwindling "good" years on this planet with any mobility, until your bloated corpse is unceremoniously dumped into a hole in the ground to rot, never to be thought of again.
