Most of the losses the north of TX experienced in wind power generation due to freezing was replaced by increased generation in coastal areas.

Sure, reduced wind and solar ultimately didn't help, but the majority of the problem was companies here not wanting to winterize their natural gas equipment for a 1 in 3 year freeze, because profits.
