I've never seen someone so aptly describe themselves. Of course you'll say "No you are!", but that's the insanity of it.

You really don't understand how controlled you are. You actually believe you are right on all things, and all things are black and white.

One the few times I'll actually address something with my past, but one of those incidents you listed I was personally involved with and another an ancillary part of. I know what happened. What people are told is told through a political lens and absorbed. It's absurd to think just because what "your side" or "their side" tells you is either wrong or right - because people like you will take what they want, regardless of the fact - and make it what you want it to be.

So you just saying "I was sort of, kind of involved in or two things I won't actually identify, and so you're wrong" is an argument without an actual argument.

Controlled is being in a state where you refuse to consume any news that doesn't come from hyper partisan, far right sources because they've told you that all sources that *aren't* hyper partisan and far right are secretly trying to trick you. That's what being controlled looks like.

And let's be blunt here: any time someone tells a conservative they're wrong or tells them no, there's immediately some grand conspiracy theory about how someone, some thing, some organization, some industry is secretly out to get conservatives. Can you give me an example of Trump being criticized or conservative ideology being questioned where there wasn't some corresponding paranoid conspiracy theory making conservatives out to be innocent victims?



Let's look at just some of the stuff floating around right now:

1) A global pandemic comes to town that threatens hundreds of thousands of lives and our entire medical infrastructure. Everyone else is trying to keep us safe, and Republicans decide it's a "democratic hoax", and the WHO is part of the hoax (and apparently literally every government and medical organization in the world is in on it), and the CDC is making up numbers because hospitals are secretly out to get more money, oh and the vaccines will rewrite your DNA or have microchips or whatever insane thing they're running with today.

2) Non-partisan Fact Checkers tell Conservatives they're wrong sometimes. But Conservatives can't be wrong obviously, so those fact checkers are part of a secret liberal plot to trick you and make conservatives look bad!

3) Ditto on all non-partisan media, which doesn't really exist apparently because all journalists are secretly liberals with liberal agendas that are more important than being journalists I guess?

4) Social Media platforms finally start removing accounts and Pages that spread misinformation and promote violence....BUT ACTUALLY that's just a cover for their coordinated Silicon Valley attack on conservatives!

5) Parler gets booted by several vendors as the next step in the Silicon Valley fascist attack on conservatives and not, for example, because it refused to follow its ToS with them and allowed people to plan terrorist activity on the platform with no attempts to remove the content...which turned into an actual domestic terrorist insurrection.

6) Trump lost the election, so there must have been the largest and most complex massive voter fraud campaign in American history that included cooperation from every single Democratic alive, every county election official, every Republican election official in states Trump lost, Dominion, and almost 90 Judges (roughly half of which were appointed by Republicans, several by Trump himself). Yeah, sure, Republicans on every level (Including Trump) all massively outperformed the polling, but c'mon...it's so obvious what happened, right?

7) Trump incites his supporters to violence on the same day and at exact time that Congress is certifying the election he lost, then he points them to the Capitol and tells them this is their last chance to save their country. BUT obviously the real attack was a false flag operation by Antifa. Or BLM. Or Communists or whatever. Worst part is the FBI came out and said "Actually no, it was Trump supporters". So obviously the government was in on this too.

8) The DoJ refuses to prosecute Clinton and other political opponents of Trump? Then it has the nerve to ACTUALLY investigate a campaign with dozens of contacts with the foreign enemy who had run the largest election interference campaign in US history to get that campaign elected?? Well obviously there's a massive deep state cabal in the government out to get Trump!

9) BLM is secretly a Marxist operation to attack America!!11!. I mean come on, someone uncovered footage of 3 people who helped start it saying they were "Trained Marxists" in some unknown context. Okay yeah, none of them are involved anymore, and BLM doesn't really have centralized leadership. Oh and Marx is fundamentally incompatible with the beliefs of BLM. BUT...BUT...COMMUNISTS PEOPLE!

10) Oh, and Democrats are part of a secret Satanic cult of cannibals who prey on children. Clinton herself was a big part of it because...there's a pizza shop somewhere out there I guess?

11) Sandy Hook obviously wasn't a real shooting. And clearly the families and friends of the people who died and were otherwise terrorized couldn't be THAT mad. Any idiot can see they hired protesters to pretend they were mad.

12) Russia definitely didn't hack our elections oh and over 250 government agencies. The entire State Department, the FBI, the CIA, every private security firm looking into this, and every major Academic researcher looking into this are all just trying to make Trump look bad (somehow?), and it was OBVIOUSLY China.

13) Democrats trying to give people health care? NO. They're trying to turn us into a communist country and will be killing people off (mostly conservatives) with death panels! Sure there's nothing in the ACA about death panels deciding people can't get care, and yeah the core concept of the ACA is what the Heritage Foundation recommended. But still. COMMUNISM. DEATH PANELS.

I was rather surprised by how insecure the Capitol building was in this day and age. I would imagine that the objection to securing it may be centered around preserving the buildings history and whatnot, but I'm not sure that holds up at this point. Screw historical significance, we need some safe rooms, guard posts, and 100 other security measures in place there.

Part of the insecurity of it was simply the right people standing down, or failing to give orders to the right teams, essentially opening the gates. But a lot could be done to harden the building, outside of dealing with that personnel problem.

It's not metal detectors at the entrance to the building, they put them at the entrance to the floor of the house.

That wall of text, for a simple statement about how you'll do anything to protect your ability to be correct is proof enough. I was pointing out how you believe what you want, regardless of what information is presented, and you will continue to do so. That was all I said.

As for saying what I have or have not done, I don't fall back on that, or try not to, in most discussions. It just so happened that two examples you gave in that list... one I was personally involved in and another ancillary to it. I said "I know what happened" and explained what you see, and choose to believe, wouldn't change if I were to go into it.

I don't disagree with anything.

Like I said when this story first broke.. it was either complete incompetence to the people who's job it was (and they should at the very least lose their jobs).. or it was done in a concerted effort to have the events play out like they did.

Either way, people should be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Thats whats so sad about all this. We lived in a country where our democratic landmarks were safe. The atmosphere of freedom in our country has now changed. The atmosphere of safety and peace are falling away.

This affects you, me, PB, Shaps, T4F, everyone here regardless of political ideology or no political ideology. We've lost our peace, safety, and freedom.
