Does anyone else remember the years the GOP spent holding dozens of investigations into Benghazi? They were ready to hang Clinton for having been Sec of State while a terrorist attack on the other side of the world killed 4 Americans.

Now 6 people are dead from a domestic terrorist attack on the US Capitol Building that was an attempt to stop the election from being certified. And they were gathered, incited, and pointed to the Capitol by a sitting Republican President who told them he loved them, that they were patriots, that they were special, and that this is what people get when they try to "steal an election" (which is ironic) while they were roaming the halls looking for Congresspeople to murder.

And now they're wondering why everyone is being so mean to him and started telling us we should really stop talking about this less than week after it happened so we can "heal as a country" and "unite".


I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. They wanted to hang Clinton for having a private email server when there was no evidence she was doing it to hide anything, but they haven't said a word at the rampant private email server use among Trump's family and by Mike Pence himself.

They howled about corruption when Obama spoke to Lynch on a tarmac for 10 minutes but have been completely silent as Trump has been directing Barr to stop the prosecution of his friends, attack his political enemies, and after he relentlessly attacked Sessions for following protocols to recuse himself from am investigation into a campaign he was a part of.

They kept claiming they were the "Law and Order" party while the US Government was sending military assets in to use force against BLM Protesters fighting for racial justice but shrugged their shoulders over the attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters trying to stop our democratic process and to kill members of Congress. Bonus points for not saying a single word about Trump using Pardons to get his friends off the hook as an obvious bargain to get them to stay quiet during the Russia investigation.

And after months of screaming about a "stolen election"- they cheered Trump on while he was calling Georgian election officials demanding they change their vote tallies so he could win and called Republicans in Congress who were systematically voting to overturn the electoral count for every swing state where Trump lost.

They've been having mental break downs over "totalitarian" violations of "free speech" by private entities booting a customer off for failing to follow its terms of service and for playing a role in helping people plan for a domestic terrorism attack while sitting back and doing nothing, and now want the US Government to try to force private companies to host speech that promotes violence and terrorism just because it's conservative speech (which is an actual violation of free speech).

And they run around like scared little children screaming about "fake news" from any outlet that isn't strictly hard right and then spend all of their time getting news from these hyper conservatives outlets who have been spreading dangerous conspiracy theories about our election, about COVID, about the terrorist attack, etc.

One of the benefits of having a political ideology that's based on paranoia ("everyone who isn't us is out to get us!"), is it lets you justify anything.

I've never seen someone so aptly describe themselves. Of course you'll say "No you are!", but that's the insanity of it.

You really don't understand how controlled you are. You actually believe you are right on all things, and all things are black and white.

One the few times I'll actually address something with my past, but one of those incidents you listed I was personally involved with and another an ancillary part of. I know what happened. What people are told is told through a political lens and absorbed. It's absurd to think just because what "your side" or "their side" tells you is either wrong or right - because people like you will take what they want, regardless of the fact - and make it what you want it to be.
