On the other side of the coin its amazing to me the anti-mask, pro-business/employee, muh freedoms crowd is upset with a business thats bucking regulation and actually paying people.

Its a serious lack of consistency to on one hand advocate for business to stay open and for people to get paid and on the other say NOT THAT SHOW THAT WAS MEAN TO TRUMP!!!

Thats the definition of virtue signaling. Saying you stand for the freedom of people to work and eat except specific people you have a grudge with.

Sure. Thats what should been happening. There should be no politics in who closes or who does not. Without a national strategy, and with the president politicizing it, states have been left to make those decisions, and some states are making decisions based on the politics of the president such as those republican states NOT asking for people to wear masks or leaving everything open while pointing at democratic states as OMG HITLER.

If no one had done anything different on day one we'd be fucked right now. We are already pretty fucked as it is because of pandemic denial over politics.

While I agree some decisions have been poorly thought out, such as bars being allowed to stay open and schools closed, but sorry churches get no sympathy from me. Its not about worship and all about business. You can virtue signal all day long about how people need to worship freely but its nothing but a money grab like everything else.

I’m completely fine with Hollywood opening up, I’m fine with SNL having an audience again, but I ALSO want restaurants, bars, and any other business to have the right to open back up if they want to.

The only party acting hypocritical is as usual the Democrat party who wants all of these businesses to be shut down indefinitely all the while they heap loads of excuses for why the liberal elites are allowed to work again.

In all of these states/counties where contradictory lockdown orders are occurring (ie. California with the movie industry vs. restaurant) - who is purchasing all of the land/buildings that are being vacated by the small business owner due to being ordered to close.

I think it would be very telling.

I made the mistake of telling my employer on Monday I'd be coming in an hour late because I woke up congested, which is normal this time of year because I'm susceptible to sinus infections when the south Louisiana weather goes hot to cold and back again. They informed me that I had to get tested for Covid and provide a negative result before I can return, so I've been home all week awaiting the results since all testing sites in my area are out of same day testing kits.

I used the CDC’s COVID symptom checker because I was curious what it would say.

The only symptom I checked was I had a cough (and it wasn’t like a consistent cough, I would sometimes just cough after I woke up), they said I had symptoms of COVID and that I should quarantine for 2 weeks. How is anyone supposed to function if we have to quarantine for 2 weeks every time we have a cough.

People are losing their minds over this.
