The First Lady and Second Lady aren't paid positions, but are considered positions on the staff. From what I can see, that is the only position which he is taking.

You are actually correct, they don't collect a White House salary. While the precedent has been the significant others of the VP/P, I don't see an issue if it isn't a paid position.

Ivanka and Jared are personal advisors to the President which as he said they are doing unpaid, I have no issue with that, the issue is both of them sit in on Governmental policy meetings which is technically illegal. Jared has been making major decisions in almost every major area, most of which he has little to no expertise in. I also agree that often First Ladies have been given way to much power, and have been for decades if not centuries.
