I pretty much agree on most of what you're saying here. It's scary when people drive into town without plates and start stashing gasoline around neighborhoods. No amount of guns are going to stop my house from burning if someone really wants it to burn, and they'd probably be long gone before I realized there was a fire. So it's all scary shit.

On a personal note, I'll add that one of my friends had his restaurant burned to the ground by rioters, and that really sucks. The day beforehand he was feeding protesters for free, and allowed his community room to be used for people who needed help. If you know anything about the restaurant industry, you know they're all under-insured. And the city will hold a quarter of his insurance payment in escrow to guarantee it gets repairedor demo'd, which makes it even worse. Remember the video of umbrella guy at the Autozone? That was just a couple of blocks from his restaurant. For him the only good news is that he has huge support from the community. We'll figure out how to get him back up and running. I'll be talking to him soon about what he should do next.

Here he is on what's left of his roof. That tangled mess to the left is what's left of a cell phone tower panel room that was up on the roof. I think, it's kind of hard to tell.

Rioters once again throwing bricks and metal pipes at horses.

Don't worry though, Solkern, I'm sure they were aiming for the officers.

Not that it makes the rioters any less pieces of shit than they are, but at this point cops shouldn't even be bringing horses there. And if they're going to keep doing it anyway, anyone who attacks it whether on purpose or not needs their skull caved in.
