I know you want to live in an America where you are guilty before proven innocent but it doesn't work that way.
It did for #MeToo... why not this!!??

Due process goes out the window in the liberal mind.

Ha! - I was thinking the same thing. If the articles are ever sent over to the Senate and a trial is conducted, I am sure we will have a group of "anonymous" sources claiming certain things happened to them decades ago.

haha. Read what you wrote. It makes no sense. If there are charges to sit on then there are charges. Trump has been charged. They are now in the trial set up phase.

The House may have voted "to impeach" but the act of voting with a clear winner means that the president "is impeached".

They voted on a bill, they have not yet sent the bill to the Senate. The bill is worthless until then. Why is this such a difficult concept for you?

What is the point of a vote in the House? To pass something. It has been voted on, majority won, so it has been passed. The vote has happened, the impeachment has happened, the charges have been agreed to and levied, that is all in the past. Now they set up the trial then have the trial.

What is the point in Pelosi sitting on the charges? Ask her, not me. Until it is referred to the Senate, it was a vote and nothing has passed through the House.

From what I've read she is holding off until she can get an agreement to how the trial will be run. Namely, if there are witnesses going to be called or not. McConnell has already said he is working for the White House and president's defense.

She is in a tough spot. She is trying to leverage by not giving something the White House and Senate both don't want anyway.

Yeah, i guess she'll wait until after Trump is reelected and then try and push it in. Until she sends it over, he hasn't been impeached. This happens often enough when the House sits on bills.

We have to agree to disagree. In my opinion, if the vote has been cast, the impeachment has passed. The trial is just to determine if the president stays in office or not.

But for the sake of argument, what do you mean by "passed to the Senate"? That some intern hand delivers the resolution signed by everyone in the House to McConnell? What constitutes a "passing of the impeachment" to the Senate?
