The major difference was in 2014 those kids were unaccompanied at the border. They were held in facilities while the parents were being located. Estimates are 80% of those kids were able to be reunited.

Trump's policy is to remove the children from their parents at the border.

I'm not drunk, but yeah both sides in this argument keep saying the kids are in cages and that's redunkulus. I've been treated worse at sleepovers growing up. I remember one time I only had ONE blanket and NO pillow FFS.
