Thread: Russia Investigation Heating Up

The best thing to come out of Mueller denying being the source of the leak is the MAGA bots who have been screamingscreaming, "don't listen to Mueller, he's a liar!" are all now screaming, " Listen to Mueller, he's telling the truth! " . It's going to be great when the obstruction report is released. Thanks for helping to legitimize Mueller

He didn't say there was a leak, he said the information was inaccurate. That would mean Buzzfeed has a source that is lying.

Not necessarily. Again, the wording of the denial was very careful. It didn't take issue with the idea that Trump directed Cohen to lie, it just vaguely stated that some information about the evidence OSC was purported to have in the article is inaccurate.

It is both notable that OSC felt the need to issue this statement and also that the statement, in effect, said so little.

And Time4fun steps up to the plate to remind us that having 16756478 PHD's does not = an education.

    Something to note.

"I think that we should put a lot of weight in the fact that the special counsel's office does not issue statements. And they have chosen - they felt that they needed to issue a statement in this case, you know, in part because so many members of Congress - Democratic members of Congress were saying if this is true, then the president has committed a crime, and there needs to be a response. So now we have this, and we're back where we started, in some ways, waiting for Robert Mueller to reveal more of what he knows that none of us do know."

I'm pretty sure that points to the Buzzfeed story being complete bullshit. Of course, Buzzfeed is going to stand by their bullshit, just like they'll stand by what dinosaur you most closely associate with.

It's far more likely they're denying being the leak to preserve the integrity of the investigation. Mueller's team doesn't leak. Feel free to assume whatever you want though.
