    The U.S. State Department defended America’s envoy to Germany Richard Grenell over his controversial interview with alt-right news site Breitbart, with a spokeswoman saying ambassadors “have the right to express their opinions.”
    WTF? Dumb ass ambassador is being given cover as 1st amendment issue. Kneeling though, that's going too far.

    I'm pretty sure this is the same spokesperson who used the DDay anniversary to comment how it shows our strong bond with Germany

    Yup. Here's her quote. Pro tip, maybe leave the D day part out next time. With a state dept. like this we better increase defense spending.

    "We have a very strong relationship with the government of Germany," Nauert said. "Looking back in the history books, today is the 71st anniversary of the speech that announced the Marshall Plan. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the D-Day invasion. We obviously have a very long history with the government of Germany, and we have a strong relationship with the government of Germany."
