    Unusually pronounced thunder storms.

Ordinarily I'd enjoy them, but softball cancelled.

Washington (AFP) - A US-based Japanese scientist said Wednesday he has succeeded in engineering a version of the so-called swine flu virus that would be able to evade the human immune system.

Man, the thought of possible worldwide pandemics really turns you on, doesn't it? First ebola, now the flu.

If you wonder why a scientist would create something like that then maybe you should ask Dr. Bischofberger, the creator of Tamiflu, about the health of his bank account.

Just now walking in the door. Went to a party at a friend's house and I noticed one of our friends there wasn't in proper condition to drive. I told them their car would be there in the morning and I drove them home, 30min out of my way. It's a frown because I'm tired but at least they are home safe. I'll probably have to take them back to get their car in the morning but in the scheme of things a few hours of my time is a small price to pay for keeping them safe.

It doesn't turn me on. The ebola outbreak makes me frown because it's a terrible way for someone to die and the current epidemic is approaching 500 deaths. As for this flu creation I'm aware of why it's being done but it still makes me way. Just because it is being done in a high secure lab doesn't mean it is impossible for the virus to escape.

There were something like 98,000 serious trampoline injuries last year. I'm more concerned that someone might force me onto a trampoline than I am of getting Ebola or the super flu.
