Also, as a business owner, I hope Daniel Snyder fights the name change to the very end. If someone wants to change the name of the Washington redskins they should purchase the team from him. Changing the name would effect his business. The redskins are a premium name in the nfl and have been one of the most profitable teams in all of sports for years. Change nothing.

I disagree. The patent thing means nothing. They've been trying to change the name redskins since the 80's.

Daniel Snyder and the redskins have serious issues when the other owners of nfl teams come out against him. That hasn't happened yet and likely will never happen.

The redskins will continue to sell out their games and sell merchandise. People will continue to watch the games. It is inevitable.

The Kansas City Chiefs won't come out against him... they are next.

And you know the gays will be going after Green Bay to change their name soon. If the Washington Redskins proved anything, it's that it doesn't matter what the origins of the team name are.. if it's a word that is offensive, then it needs to be changed.
