I wonder if you are just blissfully ignorant or you really are dumb when you wonder if there is such things as environmentalist extremists.

Yeah. The only reason this is a story is "Look at the woman who doesn't use public utilities (except for sewer)." Take that away, and it's just another case of someone not paying their bills.

My problem with global warming is that the earth has always throughout time been changing. I was taught that the Rocky Mountains were formed from giant glaciers. Umm where are the glaciers now? They melted. But I guess back then it was ok.. since man wasn't there to believe he effects the environment. Mother nature will always do what she wants to straighten up the earth. We think of decades as being a long time but if it take mother nature 1000 years to fix something it's a drop in the bucket. You can't look at 10, 20 , 100 years of data and draw a conclusion to a planet billion of years old. That's like asking yourself about how you feel for the next 3 seconds and basing your whole life around it. Man so wants to believe he controls his life and surroundings. He doesn't.

Earth will live on... it's never been about the planet, it's about Humans, and other creatures. Mass extinction of even something as small and insignificant as mosquitos would have a dramatic impact on the ecosystem and food chain. Those lesser creatures are not nearly as resilient as humans.

Additionally, when, in the last 4.54 billion years of the earth, were humans burning hundreds of thousands of tons of fosil fuels and increasing the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere? Concurrently during this time, volcanic eruptions have also continued to spew the same greenhouses gases in the same way they have previously. How are we helping the earth do the activities to start to revert back to the place it was before the CO2 emissions? How can something bounce back, if we never stop pulling?

Just because it can deal with the increases and decreases due to natural eb and flow, how does that justify the increased amount over the recent short term? It's like saying that if you can do 5 lines of coke in a night, you're gonna be fine doing 500.

They were eroded down by glaciers, but not formed by glaciers.

Well... you know what they say.
"It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes"...
They're just following with the rules. What happens after that is their own fault!

    1% Man-made, 99% Mother Nature
