Like I said from the beginning... the GOP strategy should be: Give this administration whatever they want for a year... just until January 2015. Let this thing collapse on itself and sit back and reap the rewards in November 2014.

Then, fix the problem without having to worry about a Democrat controlled Senate.

Their prediction seems just a touch high. 100 million plans cancelled next year? That's 1/3 of all Americans. I don't even think that many people have jobs with benefits.

An analysis by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, ...They predict up to 100 million small and large business policies could be canceled next year.

You do realize this is a combination of people with plans through work, and people without plans through work.

    BUT...

Lets just use your Idol Obama's numbers.

He said that only 5% would be affected by the "you can keep your plan" "mistake", now according to the 2010 census there are 308 million Americans, rounded down to the nearest million. According to him AT THE TIME, there were 30 million without insurance. So that's roughly 278 million that HAVE insurance. 5% of that is about 14 million people in the private market. Leaving what.. 264 million people with company coverage?

Maybe you just didn't realize though that the ACA, that epic awesome bill, really was created to affect only 10-15% of our population. Since he said that 85% of the people wouldn't even be affected by it. Our healthcare system was almost entirely Employer based.

Now.. this is just the Left's Messiah's numbers. He was in fact wrong (no surprise there) in 2010 aprox 55.1% of Americans had employer based coverage. Or about 170 million. Or thru their spouse or parent (68.2%) or 210 Million.

So.. even using real number, you are wrong.

    http://www.census.gov/prod/2013pubs/p70-134.pdf

"More than half of the U.S. population (55.1 percent) had employment-based health insurance coverage in 2011, and among the employed population aged 18 to 64, over two-thirds (68.2 percent) had health insurance through their own employer or another person’s employer."

You're still missing the point because you're too intent on being argumentative. The idea that 1/3 of the U.S. will lose insurance next year is absurd. The article's just a conservative think tank puff piece masquerading as science.

Next October, I will be losing the current insurance plan that I am getting through my company. Why? I asked this question through the Human Resource Department. The information I was given is that because of the ACA, to keep my current plan it will cost the company way too much money. Therefore, they are dropping the HMO and keeping the OAP and HSA through Cigna.

100 million sounds kind of high to me as well but the part of your post I disagreed with was:

I'm sure at least 100 million people get insurance through their employer. Heck even Walmart offers their employees a health insurance plan.

Your company must be run by greedy racists. That's the only explanation.
