I just didn't think we were attend each other's wedding friendly, we're not exactly going out to lunch or hanging out after work. I don't know if it would be ruder to attend or decline

So my heat pump broke yesterday - dang things only last 12 years or so. I bought the last one for $2200 in 2002. I have quotes from three different suppliers and they all want $7000-8500 for a new unit. Part of the problem is that the older systems don't meet new environmental and efficiency standards, but c'mon now, the price has more than tripled in 11 years? Gimme a break.
Have a glass of water! A full glass, no cheating! I found this strategy much more successful than the "well I'll just have a pint of ice cream and exercise more tomorrow" version.
