Actually have to take PB's side on this one. If someone goes crazy and say, kills their girlfriend who is probably an unsuspecting victim, a knife, crowbar, or ballpeen hammer all work as well as a gun. This is hardly a valid argument for gun control.

The NBOA, or national blunt object association, is all about education on the dangers and proper use of blunt objects, but I say fuck that. Outlaw blunt objects. Maybe just outlaw hand sized blunt objects in the city of chicago, that ought to work.

If someone trying to educate other people and make them aware about the dangers in life make you sad then you are a sociopath.

Suppose you wanted to cut down a tree. You could eventually get the job done with a chainsaw, a hack saw, or a sledge hammer, but surely a chainsaw would be your top choice of those three. Doesn't it stand to reason that if you were 51/49 about cutting down the tree, not having a chainsaw would push you towards the 49?

If you were going to kill someone, what would be your first choice out of a knife, a crowbar, a ball peen hammer, and a gun? If you were similarly near the fence about killing someone, doesn't it stand to reason that not having an ideal option available would push you away from doing it? Don't be so quick to dismiss acts of violence as "go[ing] crazy" and therefore no logic applies, it is as dangerous as supposing that atrocities are committed by "monsters" rather than the actual culprits: human beings, fundamentally the same as you and me.

If you are not interested in hypotheticals, would it interest you to learn that empirically speaking the rates of suicide are higher in states with more access to guns?
Just tell your friends, english only IN MURCA.
    Fixé, vous omelette du fromage.
Hasta pronto, porque la vida no termina aqui...
America, stop pushing. I know what I'm doing.

They made a special segment so Bob could spew his own opinion. It's wasn't appropriote for the situation. Talk about depression, or drug use, or domestic violence.. but gun control?

because that hurts you, somehow. It makes your life harder.
What are you even talking about at this point? How exactly did it make my life harder?

I mean, let's not even touch on the truth of the comment - because that would be stupid.
What truth.. that without guns him and his girlfriend would still be alive today? Is the only way to kill someone or yourself with a gun?

It's all about opinion of some sports commentator that guns should be controlled. That's really important.
How is one guy's opinion really important? Important for who?

    also, you're a jackass
    Fantastic.

Well if I wanted to kill someone my primary consideration would be if I could get away with it. For getting away with murder, quiet weapons are superior to loud weapons. A knife is my first choice, honestly, unless I happened to have a suppressed .22.

Murder and suicide are different. Suicide is generally speaking for pussies who can't handle the pain of being alive- anything that eases their passage is the route they will take, or they wouldn't be committing suicide in the first place.

If you are willing to trade away your right to arms, you are essentially saying you that you do not want the responsibility for your own defense. That's fine- there are others who will see to it for you... if they are available at the time you need to be defended, or not the ones you need to defend yourself from.

Law is only protection from those willing to limit themselves to the letter of the law, or unfortunate enough to get caught breaking it and imprisoned accordingly. There are also times when "law" is the enemy of the people. History repeats itself because human beings are fundamentally the same as you and me across the span of time. My argument for the right to arms is history itself.

Although I am sure that sounds like paranoia to you.

Knife first, it's more personal. Also it would depend on the person, am I giving them the option of an open casket funeral? What kind of gun? Why am I wanting to kill this person that's going to dictate how I do it more than anything else.

The gun control references were stupid, tawdry, and designed to stir up controversy apart from any real issues. Steroids and head injuries would be far more apt.
