Eh. Alcohol just disinhibits you, and you end up telling everyone how much you hate them and their stupid, bigoted, republican ways. Or maybe that's just me.

Since when do you need alcohol for that?

I wish. I have a very severe taste aversion to alcohol. Even the smell of it from across a table gives me nausea. I've only be drunk 2 times in my life, and I had to fight SO HARD to get that far, it just wasn't worth it.

Today I give you a new reason to be thankful: mixed drinks! 1 part vodka to 4 parts of your choice of juice or other flavored and bodied drink. I use the cheapest (and therefore foulest) (although with vodka this is a matter of fine distinction) stuff and can plausibly pretend I don't taste it, and I am a person of above average sensitivity. This formula is somewhat less effective with brown liquor, but it will work in a pinch.

Its almost not even worth trying to argue this, but I have tried quite a few variations of alcohol, including mixed drinks, and the alcohol dominates them on a nauseating level. I can literally pick the alcohol out of anything. As the taste aversion has gotten worse, I can barely even put vanilla extract on my icecream anymore. Not that I don't appreciate the effort . . . thanks.

I don't know, I'm just a hugely stubborn person who makes too many bad decisions to stand up for my beliefs. I WILL quit a job if they demand that I cut my hair, and I almost quit a job because they had sports week and they tried to make it mandatory that I wear a jersey (they threatened to fire me, I called their bluff and said "do it", so they backed down and just said take the week off). I'm willing to make serious sacrifices to stand up for my beliefs, rather than sacrifice those beliefs for convenience. I don't expect other people to do it though because sometimes it sucks, but sometimes I find that people don't realize that it is an option and will suffer tremendously because of it.

You sound like you have excellent quality of character, probably too excellent for the modern world. I suggest you go full Tolstoy and write books in the woods.
