Dude, that is horrible news and I am very sorry. But I'm also a little confused, I mean how can the vet diagnose cancer and yet not even know what type of cancer it is? If your vet can't even make that determination then maybe he's wrong and a second opinion is in order.

I'm on my fifth day of somewhere around two hours of broken sleep a night. I'm starting to have a little trouble with self control and emotional upheaval. I'm like one Johnny Cash song away from bawling my eyes out. Next stop, hallucinations!

    I hate insomnia.

Just think about the fact that Django Unchained comes out on Christmas and how epic Cash is and you'll sleep like a baby.

Hey! No confirmation bias or self-fulfilling prophecies on my watch.

The solution: Ghetto blast the opposite of Johnny Cash ... which has to be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVRbEvPvF7A

    O.K.

If you start seeing little bald dudes in white coats with big scissors, let us know.

Is it not falling asleep, or not staying asleep that's your problem?

I really need to reread that book. Maybe on the plane tomorrow/ride home Sunday.

Someone already tried to get me with Cocaine Blues and Hurt! I ain't clickin'.

And it's both. I can be (and am) utterly exhausted but still be unable to fall asleep. And then there's the fact that when I do sleep, I'm a light sleeper. Even when I'm not on the low point of my insomnia cycle, I wake up five, six, seven times a night for no apparent reason.

If you're going to listen to Hurt, please, for all that's good and right in the world, listen to the original.

Have you tried a couple glasses of red wine or some sleep aids?
