    1. Monkey got loose in BSL-4, bastard took us until 1 fucking AM in the morning to catch. Worst PM rounds ever.
    2. Think I just bombed my Physiology test. Might as well have not studied.

The vet called and told me that my dog has cancer. We are unsure what type but she is on pain meds until we decide what's the next step for her. I got her four years ago to the day.

How do people just pick up and move, and leave their pet behind?

Kirby was left in a house for one week without food or water when his owners simply moved away without him. He was rescued by neighbors and brought to an adoption group where I found him. He's a cuddly, playful, blissful guy who is now in my happy home with two other rescues. Always, always rescue!

I don't know the answer to this, but you would be surprised how often it happens. My father is a veterinarian and had a home office. We would find dogs and cats (and once an iguana) tied to the screen porch door on a semi-regular basis. Sometimes people left notes, sometimes they didn't. And then there are the people who wanted to put their animals to sleep because they couldn't afford routine care. People suck, plain and simple.

I'm sorry. Whatever happens, you know she's had four (and hopefully more) happy years.

Its because some dogs are just inconsiderate, like this one.

But really, a lot of people domt.see animals as part of the family. Some just can't handle it. I personally have taken out large loans to care for my dog, but thats because i see her as my family and my best friend. And sometimes abandoning your pet is in the animal's best interest, however, there are much much more appropriate ways to hand off your pet. Tying them up and leaving is horrible, but if it didn't happen, I wouldnt have been able to have given a dog who was literally on death's door a second chance on four years of healthy loving life.

Most countries are much worse to their animals and its nice to live in one where they're as well cared for (for the most part) as this one.

I'm sorry about your dog, Showal, and for your eventual loss. Pets are members of our families. Best of luck with your decision on treatment.
