There's a difference between enjoying her company, and appreciating the fact that she changes your Depends for you.

Yeaaaah. I imagine that in 20 years she has never gotten on your nerves, and you never thought "You know, I could use some time alone. Maybe hunting hippies through the woods with a large caliber firearm."

That's my general approximation of your old man thoughts... in any event, lot of self righteousness going on around here and I really need to take a shower... CT's comment is irrelevant to this fact.

    Agree with Delias.

My on again/off again has been gone for 5 weeks and I miss him. I don't usually go 5 weeks without seeing him at least once but definately spending every single day with him would be out of the question....for him and for me.

Just a theory, but people who are incapable of quality alone time are probably also not great at self actualization.

But you're basically anti-relationship though. It's not even a stable relationship if it's on again/off again.

I don't believe anyone said they were incapable of being alone. It's when they are gone for a few days that it becomes a little unnerving because the person you're used to being around all the time is not there.

Having some alone time isn't the same as being left alone. You choose when to have your alone time with the option of going back to hanging out together. Being left alone and losing that option sucks.

I'm not anti-relationship, I'm anti-marriage. I simply believe I shouldnt have to put a ring on my finger and provide an audience with an archaic religious traditional ceremony to prove something about my feelings for someone. But I'll stop there and just say that, lucky for me, when pushed to make the choice, intelligent men mostly agree with me on this point and when they haven't it really hasn't been a deal breaker.
