LOL, you quoting Wikipedia for a source. Second, Democrats have had since 1973 to make DC nice, their utter failure has to be cleaned up one way or another. If Democrats gave a fuck about people and fascism and decency, they would have cleaned up this cesspool of crime, drugs and violence decades ago. But like all Democrat run cities, you care more about remaining in power and criminals feelings than the victims of violent crime and murder. You had your chance, now it's time for you to sit down and shut the fuck up while the grown ups fix the mess you made.

Regardless of the source the events are true. Or did you not hear about Trump's first day of the second term where he basically let the guys he rallied to attack Capitol and Metropolitan Police to break into the capitol to stop the people's representatives from counting the electoral votes in a free and fair election out of prison? It's established reality.

There are Republican cities with higher crime rates than DC. It's a problem for both parties to solve. There has to be compromise on how to solve it.

If we can eliminate the reasons for crime and homelessness we would be in a better position. How much does it cost to roll out the national guard, the FBI, and all this equipment to do traffic stops compared to giving people places that are safe to sleep or opportunities to work?

We know what the weapons and detention companies want. How about we stop giving them all that money for more bloodshed and misery instead spend it on education, use programs, food programs, affordable housing, and social programs that reduce crime and homelessness?
