Though to be fair, in peacetime, the military gets a lot of dead wood in the chain of command that are more politicians than war fighters and it can be hard to get them out. Which is part of why DEI in the military needs to be a clarion call for retirement/the boot. Our military has one job, to kill people and break things and anything that causes a problem with that doesn't need to be in the military.
