People are drinking and driving an hour later. Why not bring on more regulation?

You yourself like to joke about aspirins with Latrin. You take a handful of those at once, which is easily done, and you're dead. Why don't people do this? Because the bottle clearly tells you this fact. The labelling on your edible also tells you the recommended dosage as well.

I think the problem is with perception. You have people like pk insisting marijuana is safe and cures cancer and shit so when someone says to only take a fifth of a cookie they have probably heard so much "weed is safe as shit!" propaganda that they don't think there is any harm in not following the directions.

No one (except Latrin) ever says aspirin is always safe. No one tells anyone that drinking alcohol and driving is safe and it might even cure your cancer. No one says smoking cigarettes is safe.

Maybe once everyone finally meets in the middle and gets serious about the effects of marijuana then we can start expecting adults to act like adults.

As long as we have adults ignoring all of the negative data on marijuana and downplaying the negative effects they can't ignore:

Then we're going to have an entire segment of the population thinking it's no big deal to eat 5 cookies at once.
