It's sounds like we're arguing over facets of the same generally agreed upon principle. Edibles need to be better labelled to reflect dose concentration.

How are edibles sold in Washington marijuana stores?
The Washington State Liquor Control Board issued rules for edible packaging and labeling on June 24th, 2014. All marijuana edibles sold in Washington state recreational marijuana stores must be approved (both the product itself and its label) in advance. Packaging must not appeal to children by using cartoons, depictions of kids, or images of toys, and all edibles must be sold in child-resistant packaging (such as the 4mil sealed plastic packaging in the picture above). Additionally, the marijuana must be homogenized throughout the product, so that it is evenly distributed, and serving sizes must be clearly marked or scored on the product. - See more at: http://learnaboutmarijuanawa.org/fac....VOhxnAxj.dpuf
    A good start.

If people actually listened to experts and didn't think they knew more than everyone else we wouldn't even be having this problem in the first place.
I don't think we need to over regulate just because people can't follow directions.

It should be at least as regulated as alcohol and tobacco.

How is it not already regulated in the same manner?

Apparently serving sizes with a regulated amount of THC are already mandatory for edibles. At least in Colorado.

    c) Serving size statement that reads“The standardized serving size for this productincludes no more than ten milligrams of active THC.”

If people are literally eating these things and jumping out of windows an hour later how can you say more regulation isn't needed?

Ahh. I didn't know that existed. I've no problems with it then.

People are drinking and driving an hour later. Why not bring on more regulation? You can't dummy proof the world.

You yourself like to joke about aspirins with Latrin. You take a handful of those at once, which is easily done, and you're dead. Why don't people do this? Because the bottle clearly tells you this fact. The labelling on your edible also tells you the recommended dosage as well.

By contrast aspirin, a commonly used, over-the-counter medicine, causes hundreds of deaths each year. - See more at: http://www.drugwarfacts.org/cms/caus....4TggevEe.dpuf

I know in Colorado you are limited to how much cannabis you can buy. 1 ounce if you are a resident and a quarter of an ounce if you are out of state. I'm guessing it is also the same with edibles but I'm not sure.
