You Lefties might want to read up on this stuff... you might wake up if you do, and realize you're getting played like a 2 dollar hooker in Vegas... that's to say, rough...

Is that what CNN and MSNBC told you?

SPOILER: They said the same exact thing about the made up lie "Russian collusion!" and this is no different.

When is Trump going to be arrested?

That dude is never going to see the inside of a jail cell. You are as delusional as the people that thought Hillary was going to jail. I bet you made fun of them too.

You realize the lengths you go to in order to avoid having to actually address what Trump and the GOP did?

All of you do it actually- it's kind of astounding. You talk in circles and change the subject because none of you wants to be in the position of having to actually defend what he did.

Our Capitol was under attack by at least two violent white nationalist extremist groups who were there to stop the certification of the election and who were searching for the Vice President of the United States of America and Congress chanting things like "Hang Mike Pence". And Trump refused to tell them to stop. He made absolutely no move to defend our Capitol, Congress, or his own VP. And when he was finally forced to make a statement hours later, he told the armed militia groups who were hunting down the VP and members of Congress and killing cops in the process that they were great people and that he loved them.

Oh, and did I mention they were only in DC because he told them to come? And that members of his campaign were in talks with these violent white nationalist extremist groups? AND that Trump pointed them to the Capitol building at exactly the time when they were certifying the election results and told them this was their last chance to take back their country and to fight like hell. And he knew for a fact that violent white nationalist extremist militia groups were in the crowd.

And you all will do *anything* to avoid having to acknowledge that and actually say "That seems like exactly what a sitting US President should be doing".

You're very likely right here on the jail issue. The logistics alone- keeping a former US President in prison and ensuring he had proper security (like former US President level security) would be almost impossible. Plus, we don't generally put older, wealthy white men in prison. And putting him in prison would be the one thing that could arguably be worse for the country than not putting him in prison.

Trump will presumably run for office in order to insulate himself from being charged. One way or the other, it would likely be years before he's charged by DoJ- if at all.

Georgia, on the other hand, may be a very different story.

Unless there are important incriminating facts known by the committee or DOJ that have not been released to the public, then it's hard to see how Trump could be convicted of a crime relating to his phone call to Georgia or his actions regarding January 6. And if there were important incriminating facts, those would have been leaked by now. His only punishment will be to his legacy. Fifty years from now when elementary schoolchildren learn one thing about each President, what they'll learn about Trump will be "sore loser," which is a lot worse than being a mere "loser."

I will not be at all surprised if someday somebody goes to jail over the handling of the money Trump raised from his small supporters to challenge the election..

Former President Donald Trump’s advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle—also the fiancée of his son, Donald Trump Jr.—was paid $60,000 for a brief speech at a Trump rally on the morning of January 6, 2021, according to a member of the House panel investigating the Capitol riot, part of what the committee cast as a scheme by Trump’s campaign to raise money off false voter fraud claims.

How much of that money has been spent challenging the election, and how much has been paid to Trump properties and family members?

Trump’s PAC collected $75 million this year, but so far the group has not put money into pushing for the 2020 ballot reviews he touts

Former president Donald Trump’s political PAC raised about $75 million in the first half of this year as he trumpeted the false notion that the 2020 election was stolen from him, but the group has not devoted funds to help finance the ongoing ballot review in Arizona or to push for similar endeavors in other states, according to people familiar with the finances.

Instead, the Save America leadership PAC — which has few limits on how it can spend its money — has paid for some of the former president’s travel, legal costs and staff, along with other expenses, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the group’s inner workings. The PAC has held onto much of its cash.

Even as he assiduously tracks attempts by his allies to cast doubt on the integrity of last year’s election, Trump has been uninterested in personally bankrolling the efforts, relying on other entities and supporters to fund the endeavors, they said.

Trump is guilty of bad behavior, no doubt. There is absolutely not a shred of evidence that connects him to a coup. It was a “mostly peaceful protest”. Not even a fiery one. Don’t act like it’s only the right who has extremist groups… Those people who violently assaulted the Capitol police and stormed in should be held accountable. But please, spare me your self righteous partisan BS that the greatest threat to our democracy is the Republican party and the 74.2 million people that voted for him.

I selfishly hope something legally happens that prevents Trump from running or he loses the primary. DeSantis would dominate in the general election against anything the Dems could throw at him. He is MUCH more of a conservative than Trump ever was. Perhaps a bit more so than I personally care for, but would gladly vote for him over Biden. He is the president that “Orange Man bad” leftists like you & Seran deserve.

Did you actually watch the hearings? I highly recommend you watch today's at least.

As for your "not even a fiery" "mostly peaceful protest" (and yes I caught the snark there): the crowd was full of white nationalist extremist militia groups (who had been in contact with the Trump White House days before the event, according to the FBI) who were carrying a noose and chanting "Hang Mike Pence" while searching the building for him, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of Congress. And that's after killing several police officers and permanently disabling several more. And they were doing it for one sole purpose: to stop a free and fair election from being certified. Oh and they left bombs in front of the DNC. So please stop pretending like it was no big deal. It was a huge deal and unprecedented in American history.

But more to the point, you keep saying there's no evidence, and I'm absolutely flummoxed here. Can you do me a favor and please describe the events leading up to January 6th and the events that occurred during and Trump's role in it? I'm genuinely curious here as to what your understanding of the situation is.
