A dumb thing to do would be to not fight this. Personally, as an Irish American, I'm upset and offended by this mascot and I will move to have it changed as it shows my people in a very disparaging light.Quote:

I too am Irish and highly offended by those mascots.
My high school's mascot was a (Native American) Warrior. They changed it to something else a few years after I graduated claiming a naming controversy, but I think it had more to do with the weird, 70's softcore porn vibe the mascot had.
