It's about time we started producing weapons again. We have loads of OLD weapons laying around and there is simply nothing we can do to support them. Nuclear weapons cause irreversible decay in the electronics used to control and detonate them and even with shielding, there is a finite time that will continue to function. Also, we can make cleaner, more controllable and customizable weapons so the whole "radioactive wasteland" thing could be a thing of the past. There is still nuclear winter with the dust and the regular horrors of nuclear bombs but it would be less with more modern weapons. We also need to push hard for nuclear power, nuclear powered spaceships and so on. When all the waste from all the reactors from the US over the next 100+ years could not even fill a few percent of the storage facility we built, there just isn't reason to not be using this other than stupidity and control.Quote:
