Just did this for fun, as getting ready to watch the football game...
Have to love a state that is doing rolling blackouts, telling it's citizens not to power their homes and to "do their part"... and then they do a huge event at SOFI stadium.
How much electricity does Sofi Stadium use?
The 80,000-seat stadium consumes up to 10 megawatts of electricity on average in one day. That is a more than three times as much power as Liberia.
Per ela.gov, the average power requirement or a US residence in 2018 was about 1.25 KW. A 10 megawatt power plant in a grid will supply 10,000 / 1.25 = 8,000 homes.
So what the stadium uses in a day - and tonight much more from the outside show I'm seeing... seems priority 1 for their elected officials. Hopefully the peons are "doing their part" though to ensure the game can be played.
“Yeah it’s so cold in my Governor’s mansion that I have to wear a fleece, but I’m going to need you peasants to reduce power consumption & turn up your AC to 78 degrees.”

The Governor's Mansion is probably considered a workplace under OSHA guidelines, so the temp likely has to stay between 68-76 degrees.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) recently experienced an odd moment while reading a Bible passage. She seemed to confuse senseless murder with a dumpling.
Boebert, a conspiracy theorist who has embraced QAnon extremism, was reciting a passage from Romans that - in “The Message” edition she was reading from - referred to “wanton killing.” Except Boebert pronounced it more like “wonton,” the delicious dumpling often found in soup at Chinese restaurants.
“I don’t know what a wonton killing is,” she said in the footage posted online by PatriotTakes, which monitors right-wing media. “I’m gonna have to look that one up, but it sounds interesting.”

I hope nobody makes fun of her for this, because that would not be very nice.
